2/3/2023

The DTF 12H2 costs $16,995 (plus shipping of $750) making the total cost: $17,745
In addition, it features a 4.4% discount on the original price! This printer has two print heads and a 30 cm. x 100 m. roll, and can print approximately 30 linear feet per hour.

The DTF 24H2 costs $25,995 plus shipping of $1,750, making the total cost $27,745.
This printer has two print heads and a 60 cm x 100 m roll, and it can print around 45 linear feet per hour.

Unveiling the Revolution: Exploring the Benefits of Direct to Film

This is much cheaper than all other technologies, making it an economically sound choice for your project! Furthermore, no pretreatment is required, so you can start printing immediately. Plus, it can be used to print onto 100% dark polyester, which is impossible with DTG printing. Finally, its digital nature means there are no screens and no limits on colors, so you can get a vibrant, unique design that will stand out.

December 6th 2022

As part of our strategy to lead the digital transformation, and in support of our goal to provide best in class customer experience we are pleased and excited to let you know that we are launching a new ERP system at the beginning of 2023.

Having thoroughly planned this project we want to inform you in advance that our warehouses will be closed between January 1st and 8th as we transition to the new platform. This will impact our ability to process and ship ink and parts orders during this time.

Therefore, to avoid any disruption to your business, we recommend that you plan ahead for supplies and any known parts needs by placing all needed orders before December 27th to ensure adequate time to pick and ship your order before we begin our cutover to the new ERP system.

We will have limited ability to ship urgent parts, but likely with some delays. Remote and onsite support will be unaffected. As always for any urgent needs, please contact us directly at 888-456-7648 for immediate assistance.

We appreciate your support during our transition and look forward to delivering improved customer experience in the coming year.

December 6, 2022

This year has been an amazing one in the decorated apparel industry for us and our ROQ family of printing businesses.  While the year comes to an end after the holidays in just a few short weeks, I wanted to take a moment to thank you for allowing ROQ Screen printing equipment to have the opportunity to be your partner in print and to also let you know about a couple of upcoming changes and savings opportunities we have at ROQ before the year is through.

John Murray received word from ROQ International that there will be a price increase that takes effect on January 1, 2023.  While this is not welcome news, it does present the opportunity for those who are interested in acquiring the best-automated screen and digital equipment in the industry to lock in current 2022 pricing before ringing in the new year.

A $3,000 reservation deposit locks in your current estimated pricing before it expires at midnight on New Year's Eve.

DTG Printers as an Option to ROQ Screenprinting

Picture
Inflation is hitting hard around the United States and screen print ink  and machinery are on the rise, which may start having you think about an alternative to screen printing. DTG now has printers that can output 300 shirts an hour and creeping up to keep pace with an automatic carousel.

If you are think about switching to DTG or or would like to test out and see for yourself the quality prints. Head over to Northwest Custom Apparel. They have 2 Kornit Storm Hexas that produce mouth dropping prints. Check it out.

Kornit Digital North America Announces Spare Parts Price Increase

December 6 2022
Kornit Owners:
As all businesses and industries are aware pricing for, and availability of, raw materials, sub components and transportation have increased significantly. These challenges on supply and pricing are highly evident in the textile markets globally.

As a result of such general price increases, and after careful consideration, Kornit Digital has decided to raise our pricing on select spare parts that are most impacted by these challenges. We assure you that we are working to absorb as much of these cost increases as we can, but at this point, we must implement the following increases effective January 1st, 2023.

The price increase will only affect a select group of Spare Parts, expecting minimal impact.

The price increase DOES NOT APPLY to the following groups: Printheads, Uptime Kits, PM Kits, Pallets, Computer, & Upgrades. If you have a Service Contract, all parts failures are covered for free; however, if you are purchasing parts for stock, the price increase will apply.

Effective January 1st 2023

Kornit Quick P Designer HASP Key Error installing software.

9/30/2022

New computer and we can't install the Kornit HASP key

We recently purchased an Alienware computer for our graphic designer to run Corel Draw, Photoshop, and Kornit's Quick P Designer. It is running Windows 10 and 32 gigs of Ram with a speedy processor. Installation of Corel Draw and the Adobe Suite worked perfectly, but we are having ongoing issues attempting to install Kornit's Quick P Designer. We use the Kornit Quick P Designer to Rip the art files to the Kornit KSF format that our Kornit Storm Hexa Printer can use to print t-shirts.

Kornit HASP Key

The Quick P Designer uses a Sentinel Hasp Key (dongle) plugged into the computer's USB port to protect Kornit by having customers use it on multiple computers. Once again, this is another annoying security precaution by Kornit since they don't trust their customers that purchased the software.

Hasp Key Errors

While attempting to install the Quick P Software on the new computer, numerous error screens pop up. The crazy thing is we can install the software on different computers in our factory. Our current art computer is running the Quick P Designer with no issues, but this new computer is causing software installation problems.

Sentinel HASP Run-time installation

The first error I received while trying to install the Kornit Quick P designer.
Error when starting the network service with parameters 1157.577.1
This is an internal error. For assistance, contact your administrator or the software manufacturer. Status Code: 48 5 733 577

Sentinel HASP Port 1947 Needs to be Opened

The Sentinel HASP Run-time Environment uses port 1947 to communicate with local and remote components. If you use a firewall, ensure it does not block this port.

Error 1009: Cannot open HASP HL drivers

The Windows Device Manager show HASP Key IS recognized.

When you go into the Windows device manager, you can see that the HASP keys are recognized and working correctly. The HASP key is plugged into the USB port, and the red light is on the stick, so the HASP key is working.
Picture

Any suggestions to fix this HASP Key issue

Does anybody out in internet land have a solution to fix the HASP key problem. I have called the Kornit techs and they are still stumped after a month of trying to get the install to work. Our graphic artist at Northwest Custom Apparel is chopping at the bit to start using his new Alienware computer, but the Kornit HASP key error using the Quick P Designer is the only thing holding us back.

If you know of any solutions, don't hesitate to contact Erik Mickelson at erik@nwcustomapparel.com or call 253-922-5793. Thanks for helping me

Finding Corporate Gifts in Seattle

Finding suitable corporate gifts for Seattle clients can sometimes be challenging. Nevertheless, you can still discover the right gift with advanced planning and clever thinking to bring joy and appreciation for years to come. Northwest Custom Apparel specializes in corporate gifts for the Seattle, Tacoma, and Puget Sound regions. We offer an assortment of gift ideas, such as embroidered caps, beanies, plush blankets, and Carhartt jackets. Custom embroidered products can be used to welcome, thank, or recognize business associates, customers, and employees.

Subtle Embroidered Logos work best for Seattle Gifts

We suggest subtle embroidered logos on the items you will give to customers to avoid splashing advertising of your logo. Remember, this is about your client and not flashing your logo in their face. Flashy and oversized logos are great for workers on job sites or trade shows where you want them to become human billboards. Keep your logo subtle by using tonal-colored embroidered threads, so when your client shows off their gift to others, they will know who gave it to them. Investing in quality custom embroidered apparel is one of the most cost-effective ways to build business relationships.
Picture

Quality Gifts are Your best Choice

Custom apparel that is functional on the job site and makes life comfortable will be appreciated and remembered. A quality t-shirt will stay in your client's shirt drawer for years and be worn repeatedly. The delivery method of your gift is critical so the client will appreciate and remember the gift-receiving experience. We suggest delivering the gift in person to further cement the human connection with the client. If you can't give it in person, you can put it in a lovely gift box and mail it to your client. Northwest Custom Apparel sells fully customizable gift boxes packed with embroidered apparel that you select to make a memorable experience for your client.
Our experienced staff at NW Custom Apparel can help you find the perfect gift for your Seattle, Washington, clients. Call us at 1-800-851-3671 to start your holiday gift package.

It's simple to save money on your t-shirt order.

8/24/2022

When it comes to customizing a t-shirt, your options are endless. If you have a small budget, don't be discouraged; there are plenty of affordable solutions to create the t-shirt that friends, family, and the public will love.
Picture

T-Shirt Material Determines Pricing

If you're looking for an inexpensive t-shirt, there is no shortage of options available for your order. Depending on your budget, you can climb up to a more premium option, but even the base-level shirts will be super comfortable and get the job done.

Your cheapest option is a jersey tee - a 100% cotton shirt. Cotton t-shirts are probably the most common type of t-shirts… and why wouldn't they be? They're super comfortable, soft, and breathable (all with an affordable price tag).

A poly-blend tee is a perfect option at a slightly higher price range. If you want a lighter-weight shirt and are willing to spend a couple extra bucks, this shirt will deliver. The shirt's material is a 65% polyester/35% cotton blend.

1 Print Location on the T-Shirt

It's easy to get excited while designing your own t-shirt. Regarding budget-friendly, it's best to keep it simple. More print locations mean higher costs.
Even with only one print location, you still have room to express creativity through your shirt design. Whether it's the back, front, or sleeves you want to print on, you'll still have plenty of space to show off great graphics.
In recent trends, minimalistic designs are the fashionable choice. Crowded designs can be hard to look at and make shirts look gaudy. A straightforward and blatant message can be beneficial to your message and inexpensive.

Direct-to-Garment has No Design Color Limitations

Picture
Color is an excellent asset in designing your custom shirts to make them total showstoppers with multi-colors in your design. Direct-to-Garment printing allows you to construct a pristine look by developing complicated artwork with many beautiful colors.

When adding lots of colors, the complexity of a design won't be compromised. Don't get misled by the idea that less is more in the world of t-shirts. Direct-to-Garment will allow you to create a design that screen printing is not capable of and keep within budget.

Price Breaks

Price breaks are perhaps the best way to save money without surrendering anything. With the science of price breaks, the more shirts you order, the more you will keep! If you order more additional shirts and see a significant price decrease, you may even be able to an extra logo on the back.

A hefty price tag is the main factor scaring people away from designing their own custom shirts. When you throw your perfect design onto a t-shirt and see that the price comes out to over $120, your first thought would be, "well, that is way too much!" But that cost applies when you order a single t-shirt. When you order 25 t-shirts, your price would seem much more tolerable. Ordering 60 shirts would bring your price per shirt down even lower.

It may seem like a substantial commitment to increasing your order quantity, but doing so will dramatically lower your cost per shirt. Check out the price breaks for your order before you place it because you could be spending more than you should!
